Aileen: Why does the boss like to have so many meetings? We have several every week.
Aileen:
Jacob: Yeah, I've almost started to consider the conference room my office.
Jacob:
Aileen: Sometimes, I feel like we're spending 90% of the time listening to him talk about his hobbies.
Jacob: I know what you mean. He goes on and on and ends up telling us things that don't even matter.
Aileen: I don't think he has a clear agenda. We just come to listen to him ramble.
Jacob: Plus, he always makes us forget about the other work we should be doing during the meetings.
Aileen: I wonder if we'd be much more efficient if we used the time we spend in meetings to actually complete tasks.
Jacob: Maybe he knows this but still keeps having meetings, as if that's the only solution.
Aileen: I pretend to be interested in what he says but I can't stop thinking about my unread emails.
Jacob: Haha, same here. And every time, we end up working overtime only to come back and listen to the boss talk about something that doesn't matter.
Aileen: We need a revolution to let the boss know that our time is valuable.
Jacob: But we can't offend him, after all, he's the boss of the company and we have to obey his orders.
Aileen: Right, but we can suggest more efficient solutions during the meetings and maybe he'll have to consider them.
Jacob: Yes, efficient work leads to a better work environment. Let's work hard for it together!
